The best TV of 2024 so far
A classic will-they-wonβt-they, a history-changing drama, one of the the most talked about shows of all time and the return of Muslim punk β the yearβs best telly so far
BBC Two/iPlayer
It often feels like weβre living through bleak times. This series is an antidote to contemporary woe as the queen of good vibes Andi Oliver travels to various troubled but resilient corners of the UK, meets community heroes and organises massive parties for them. Itβs a simple formula but it involves bucketloads of lip-smacking food and enough stories of kindness, selflessness and ingenuity (the episode about the local arts centre in Stoke-on-Trent will make you want to move there) to get you believing in human potential again. Lovely.
What we said: βββAs a premise, Andi Oliverβs Fabulous Feasts is about as heartwarming as a Guyanese pepper pot cooked in a Cornish community cafe.β Read the full review
