The poet Kathleen Jamie wrote in 2008 for the London Review of Books about romanticising landscape and male nature writers. She more recently, in 2019, revisited the topic in an interview for the Guardian: "Nature writing has been colonised by white men". Jamie was the Scottish Makar (national poet) from 2021-24, and some of her poems are online at the Scottish Poetry Library.

Pocket-sized Power: A Feminist History of Portrait Miniatures

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts in Birmingham has put online an exhibition of portrait miniatures. The exhibition displays the work of women portrait artists (and some men) working from the seventeenth century to the early twentieth century, and discusses themes of power and empire.

The Barber was established by a woman, Lady Martha Constance Hattie Barber (1869–1933). There is some information about her here, and a short review of an exhibition about her life here. The miniatures exhibition includes a portrait of her by Nellie Hepburn-Edmunds.
