When the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue beat Garry Kasparov at chess in 1997, it was an early victory for artificial intelligence over the human mind, and the culmination of decades of attempts. Almost 30 years later, a computer program has finally outdone humans at solving cryptic crosswords.

Murdoku is a murder solving puzzle game by Manuel Garand. Just like a real murder there's no more than one person in each row and column of the grid. Use the clues to place the suspects in the correct locations to deduce who was alone with the victim at the time of the murder. Various difficulties available. Direct link to the puzzles. Tap to place a marker, click and hold to place a suspect.

Also available in print and in printable format. Not to be confused with killer sudoku. That's something else.
